About United Faculty

United Faculty (UF) is the exclusive bargaining representative for full-time faculty at Cypress College, Fullerton College, and North Orange Continuing Education. Our work is grounded in the bylaws of our chapter, in the rights and obligations of the Educational Employment Relations Act (EERA), and in our affiliation with the California Teachers Association, the Community College Association, and the National Education Association — the largest labor union in the world.

Our purpose is straightforward and durable: to represent our members in all matters relating to employment conditions; to speak with authority on behalf of the full-time faculty of NOCCCD; and to provide the formal structure through which faculty voice reaches the District, the Board of Trustees, and the state.

Mission United Faculty exists to protect and promote the well-being of full-time faculty in the North Orange County Community College District; to improve the conditions of teaching and learning at Cypress College, Fullerton College, and North Orange Continuing Education; to advance the cause of free, universal, and quality public higher education for all students; and to ensure that the human dignity and civil rights of every student, every colleague, and every member of our community are protected.	CCA / CTA / NEA affiliation United Faculty is a chartered chapter of the California Teachers Association (CTA), an affiliated local of the Community College Association (CCA), and an affiliated local of the National Education Association (NEA). How UF is organized UF is governed by the Representative Council — the policy-making body composed of the Executive Board and elected Faculty Representatives from each academic division across the three campuses. One member, one vote. Rep Council meets at least once per month during the academic year and is the body through which power is derived and decision-making is accountable.
